Hi Christopher. my Centre…
Hi Christopher. my Centre stand had a none genuine bracket fitted to it so it wouldn't be same size spring as yours .i had mine off e-bay i thought nothing more durable really. its probably best to go a couple of inches shorter than what you have now. i suppose its trial and error thing really if a standard one wont fit. My centre stand spring was also a little bit too long. I got out my gas torch and heated the last flat coil in the stack until cherry red. I next bent this coil to sit alongside the original vertical coil and then dropped the hot end in old engine oil. The result was a double spring at one end which I used for the stand hook. The spring being one coil shorter now had enough tension to hold the stand up.
