Shock absorber bits

Forums

I am looking for several bushings for the top & bottom eyelets on some shock absorbers. I have not been able to find a source for them. I need a set for a pair ofArmstrongs& a pair of Girlings. These normally are a cylindrical rubber piece with a steel tube bonded through the center. There are different lengths on the steel tube, different inside diameter of the steel tubes & different diameters & widths of the rubber piece.

At one time, I thought I read an article that the DOT motorcycle company was making replacement shock & parts, but can't seem to locate their info.

I have modified bushings to suit, but I am sure that someone must sell these, as they are used on complete shocks that are sold for vintage bikes.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I managed to get some for Girlings a couple of years ago from RGM. I will try and find their catalogue for part nos etc.

Just had a look at my RGM catalogue and the bushes are listed as Item 685C, Rubber bushes for Girling dampers, Part No. 33365. It is an older catalogue so I would advise contacting RGM in case details have changed. Tel. 01946 841517 (UK) email. info@rgmmotors.co.uk Web. www.rgmmotors.co.uk Hope this helps.
