Scamming through wanted ad.

Just a word of warning here everyone.

Yesterday I was contacted by someone alleging they had a fairing for sale.

(I have an ad in the classifieds)

Anyway it was an obvious scam, (I'm used to seeing them,) so just be careful .

I have had a 'wanted' ad for a 500T in various places including the NOC, recently the scammers have been coming thick & fast.

Todays two are 'James Hardy' and 'Willie Wright', both from America.

A few days ago 'Anthony Turnbull' from Sweden sent 'Good day i am from Sweden i am contacting you regarding your wanted advert Let me know if you are still interested Regards'

Thought I would ask him what he had got - -

Back came a picture of a mint 500T, plucked straight from the large selection of 500T pictures available on the internet, ( this one was sold at auction in America, January 2011). I offered to pop over to Sweden to buy the complete bike for cash, but no,only parts were available, and he already had some local buyers including his uncle, and of course gave all the details as to how I should pay for any parts.

Not the sharpest, these scammers, but a blooming nuisance.

Still looking for a 500T, if anyone has one for sale.

Roger.
