Re: hardened ring in 8034 dollshead gearbox

Good morning,

I want to complete my dollshead gearbox.

In the gear N8034 is an hardened ring that keeps the little bearings on its place.

I have a few gears and in some of them the ring cannot move(looks like they hammered little points on gear to fasten the ring) and in the NOS gear i have the ring can turn free.

What is the best solution?

Let it turn free, because the bronze thrust washer helds the ring on its place?

Or hammer points so it will stick?
