Hi all
Does anyone have a picture of how the rearset gearlever set up is on a plunger Inter? With the upright gearbox. Mine's a 1950. Can I still use it with the kickstart? Also are there parts available?
Getting ready to ride to the Classic TT!
Cheers guys

Made it Arne. The spline part is off an old norton, the pivoted lever is off a scrap Honda a mate had. Married the two together the added reach means I don't have to modify the exhaust or foot peg to get the old brute to start... ð I'm done with run and bump ð

That is very neat !
And be very sure that I shall be copying it shamelessly as bumpstarting my 1948 Manx at 64 is starting to tax my pacemaker somewhat...
Thanks for the idea !

The Honda arm had a ball and detent to keep it in place. Which stops it folding out on the run. The old norton kickstart lever was just trimmed to length flats filed either side, detent made and drilled through for the Honda bolt. It sits very neatly against the motor and gives good leverage for starting. Extended my enthusiasm for riding it. Seems at a certain age hard work doesn't result in extra muscle power! It will change the way you use the bike Arne. As you can see originality is not on the top of the list for this machine, but riding it is breath taking ð
