The shaft of the oil pump where the gear attaches has sheared off on my international model 40 SOHC.
Can I get some advice?
Is it possible to repair the oil pump?
Is it possible to remove and repair without splitting the crank open and doing a whole engine rebuild?
thanks in advance
Oil Pump removal
Do not heat the crankcase to remove the oil pump. The Oil pump metal when heated expands more than the crankcase, and will become even tighter. If you then try to remove the pump, damage will soon happen. It's best to remove when all is cold as possible. When refitting the oil pump, heat the crankcase and freeze the oil pump.
Contact me via email, and I may have a contact for a replacement oil pump drive shaft.

Someone somewhere in the UK…
Someone somewhere in the UK should have the shaft. A few years ago I was sent some odd gears amongst some twin oil pump gears that were obviously not for the twin oil pump. .

If you open up the Technical tab above the forum you will find the instructions for servicing the International engine.
This clearly states the procedure for removing the oil pump after separating the crankcases.
If you warm the timing side crankcase the pump is easier to remove.
