Tom,

I tried silicon on my 650 ss knee rubbers but it was not successful in my case as I have to keep applying more where they start coming off. However, back in 1999, my mate suggested golfing tape (Double sided) for my slimline Model 50 and they still hold good today. Why did I ever try silicone?

As for fork oil, it is a matter of preference but I like the heavier fork oil myself. (15 or 20 grade) Also I have found that 200 cc's works better than the 150cc as stated in the book. But Don't go over 200cc or you might blow a seal. It is always a matter of personal preference but the above are what works best for me.
