Fuel tank covers

I have seen several times, at the Begonia rally, a Dominator fitted with a very smart vynal tank cover. Does anyone know who made this item, and, is it still in production? So far, an internet search has revealed nothing similar.

I had one made by P&P Seating 30 years ago to protect a new paint job, looked fine but I was storing the bike outside at the time but under cover, when I came to take the cover off the paint came with it and the tank was coveted in rust.

Thanks for that info John. I have a slightly dented tank (chromed) on my Dominator. I am considering buying a new tank, from India, but, since the old one does not leak I will keep it as a spare. The alternative is to fill the debts, and paint the old tank.

Back in the 1960s my younger brother had a 1959 Cafe Racer style Dommie 99 (I had a factory version 'special') and his wideline tank had a fitted, felt-padded, black leather cover! Seriously cool! I should have asked him for it before he sold the bike!

I do not know if they make covers for Norton's but Baglux are excellent.I have had one on a cbr1000,buell and Kawasaki zzr1100

No damage is caused to the paint and of course the tank bag can be securely attached to it.

Highly recommended.
