Hi folks iv got a leak comming from my left hand side petrol tap on my 1950 es2 , it seems to be from the gas thread nut or spigot does anyone know of
anyone who makes up fuel lines, as the plastic pipe looks like its 1950 and brittle.

These motorcycles didn't…
These motorcycles didn't have 'plastic' fuel lines! To fix your problem, simply remove the brittle pipe and fit a new piece ofneoprene fuel (petrol) line, available at a car parts supplier anduse your existing fittings. OR, fit modern 'nut and tails' (air line parts supplier will have those) and the fuel hose mentioned. If the metal fittings are 1/4"O.D., buy 6mm I.D. hose and it will be a snug fit, I don't use clamps as there is no pressure in the line, though you can slip on a ferrule to neaten the appearance and make the fit a bit more firmer. OR, if you are still unsure, fit a worm drive hose clamp.
Check the NOC spares OR look at Goffys site.

I have the same problem with my 1951 ES-2. The plastic is so stiff I'm afraid it will shear open from vibration and who knows what is coating the inside of it.
My 1950 Norton Spare Parts list book shows a part number; page 40
part number B2/283 " petrol pipe (rubber) "
if you find a source of an already made up one with the threaded fitting at the tap end, let me know please. Mine is clamped on but I'm sure that is not original.
my buddy rebuilt my petrol taps so I have not seen the inside of them but I gather that the corks and washers are easily found. hopefully it only leaks when open ? Until you find them, use the right hand one only.
We got my tap repair corks from Walridge Motors in Ontario Canada
