So i've bitten bullet and decided to remove iffy RITA ignition from my ATLAS, I hope there is a special circle of hell reserved for wiring harness butchers !!
Two questions
One, the new system is -ve earth, old system +ve earth - as all rectifier, coils, zener diode etc are being replaced is there anything left that polarity sensitive, ammeter / horn ?
I've mapped out old wiring and tried to see how to connect in the new system, it looks like the yellow out to lights should connect to black / green to main switch ( was black green rectifier output ), the red out to battery should connect to what was brown/ white to main switch from rectifier ( obviously old zener diode will be removed from this circuit connection ) Now i'm left with a missing connection - old system ran green/ yellow from alternator to main switch - what do i connect to this ?
as you can see not a sparky so need some help, thanks for any advice
