i went to the launch -only 50 to be made £24k for the track version and £26k for a road legal version - only 7 left acvailable to order last year at he launch so i would expect there isn't an opportunity to get one now anyway - most of the orders will end up in a vac bag at the back of a garage - shame

I was at the Factory today and 2 of the Domiracers were being built both had reached the point where the engines had been fitted, absolutely fabulous bike. All 50 have been ordered but I am unsure of the mix between track and road versions. I suspect that some will end up on a plinth insomeone's front room, but I could think of worse pieces of sculpture. I look forward to seeing a road test!

Ditto.

Talking to Henry Cole at last year's NEC show he was saying that he's bought one - Lucky man indeed! laugh

Yes the tank is something else, I think it would give the Caferacer a real Caferacer look. It might have to wait a while though at that price!.

I hope the rumour is true, the lack of goodies is something that is really missing.

How much Ethanol is in use in the UK. In the US it is almost impossible to find gas that isn't 10% Ethanol. It has raised hell with the plastic Acerbis tanks from Ducati, Triumph, and other European makes. I have seen some symptoms recently in MV Augusta . The 961's use Acerbis tanks ! Aluminum is awful attractive to me but that price is steep ! I have been using an ethanol stabilizer in my bike since even before it was delivered !

I just hope they are more realistically priced than the rear paddock stand - 225GBP!

Fantastic, in my opinion the best looking Norton ever! I'm very envious that must be the first one. I hope that you will be using it even though it looks so good I think most owners will just have it on display.

Yes I got the first customer bike.

It will be used - but as a track bike for now as didn't want to spoil its looks with road legal pipes, indicators, number plate etc.

Approx 40 will be road registered. So you may get to see some out and about on the road this year.

Gorgeous looking bike and already one has popped up on e-bay for sale. Look foreward to seeing one in the flesh at the AGM.

He hasn't been on the Commando section either so perhaps he isn't around at the moment.

At the Classic bike show at Stafford over the weekend Norton had a production Domiracer on display and this one was roadgoing in that it had lights and indicators but the "loud" exhaust. As this was a production machine the seat unit etc was load bearing rather than the mock up on the bike previously photographed. I am attaching some detail photos, but I need to find out how to compress some of the photos before I can post them all.

I thougt the detailing on the road going version of the Domiracer was excellent. Last week I had a road test on one of the new BMW R 9 T cafe racers ( there is only one demonstrator for the whole country and I had it for 2 hours) and although it was an excellent ride some of the detailing was awfull particularly the area under the seat and the rear of the bike. To many fcables and wires particularly on the top of the air intake tubes all this on a bke costing £12000.

The detailing on Nortons bikes is better than BMW who have significantly biger budget for design.David
