Dominator 99 Insurance

Forums

Just thought would advise for those about to renew their insurance or have thoughts on renewal . Was on automatic renewal with one company and the cost went up to £176. This was to cover a 1971 T120r, 1957 Bullet and the 1959 Dominator 99. Went to P.James based on earlier comments on the forum and ended up with £116. This included unlimited mileage (although there has been little chance of that lately) and most importantly breakdown cover. There was a discount for the Club membership. Anyway trust this helps and wishing you all safe riding as things are slowly coming back to life. Regards, Hugh

Hi Hugh

I was with Footman James and they wanted £170 ish for my 99 with a £7500 agreed value and breakdown cover so I shopped around and got exactly the same cover with Peter James for £109.

Any saving obviously all helps with the costs of keeping these bikes on the road and shows the value of shopping around. Never done agreed value although take regular photos but do wonder what would happen if they were stolen or whatever. I think I am now paying what I did about 3 years ago. Regards, Hugh

... for me as well. Less than £100 for the ES2 and a Guzzi V50 total agreed value £10K.
