I have a double ended coil to fit to the Atlas that came without fixings. The mounts are threaded but I have been unable to match them,not sure if they are 1/4 bsf or1/4 unf ,any idea?.

Nope, m6 pass through, may be m7. Tried about 10 taps so far.I will see if Boyers know .____ Not a thread at all,though it looks like one. through bolts with ally sleeves needed to conduct the heat away to a sink,comes as a kit.If not used expect the coil to expire.

I take it you have tried threading known bolt sizes into the coil? I believe that when I fitted one to my BSA, it had metric M6 threads, so maybe that's the problem.
