Spare parts and service availability

Forums

Hi Guys,

I'm normally a Commando man but recently an elderlychap who lives near me asked me to have a look at his sons bike as it was in need of a service and a bit of attention. When I got to his house I was expecting to see a Commando or Dommi sitting there but was astonished to find an extremely good condition Rotary F1. His son has owned it from new and it has only covered 6,000 miles. Now, before you all start flooding me with messages, he doesn't want to sell it !!!

He told me that the pre-formed pipes from oil tank to pump have perished and need renewing and it also needs a service. My question is does anyone do services for these bikes in my neck of the woods. (Tamworth, Staffordshire). I understand that some spares are available from Andover Norton, does anyone know if there is a parts book available. The old chap has asked me to service it for his son but I have never worked on a rotary before and wouldn't really know where to start. Can anyone help ?
