Hi George, I bought the one from the NOC which the cast fitting that bolts to the frame just forward of the engine. Looks accurate to me and is a brand new item that I gather the NOC had replicated ?
you will find it in the NOCShop "cycle parts" on page 7
103 pounds...not cheap but I'm seeing eBay prices that high for badly rusted originals.
I will be getting a small tang welded on to mine so I can catch it with the tip of my boot as when folded it is tough to get at.
Will post a photo if I'm pleased with the results and feel it warrants passing on to others

£340 !?!? The NOC one looks the same or certainly "close enough" for me. Works great and thankfully it is the correct length for the ES2 plunger frame bike
I had a side stand on my '62 R27 that rattled and never used...unique to the R27. After sitting on a shelf for a couple of years, I stuck it on eBay hoping for $50 bucks and it was bid up to over $300...go figure eh.
