Sweptback pipes 650 SS

Forums

Good day chaps,

looking to get a pair of sweptback pipes like those in the picture, unfortunately Armours and Wassell pipes don't look like they kick up any where near as much as these.

Are these custom made or off the shelf items ?

Kindest regards,

John Deering

Hello John - I think all the swept-back pipes for the 650 Dominators and Atlas's were custom made and the pipes were usually 1 3/8 inch diameter except where they exit the cylinder head and where the silencer or megaphone mounts which was 1 5/8 inch diameter. Dealers and Customisers like Dunstall, Gus Kuhn, Ian Kennedy, Unity etc all used a similar pattern. The ones depicted look to me to be home-manufactured with the pipe diameter being 1 5/8 inch all its length. The reverse cone mega could be from Unity and may be stainless steel. Good Luck in your search, Howard

If I am reading the advert correctly the same product code appears to fit all models from all years--------really????.

Feked list the same spoke set for the Tri/BSA 7" TLS brake in an 18" rim and for Tri/BSA 8" TLS in a 19" rim. The specs in the parts books tell you otherwise.

I've got a pair of sweptbacks with a balance pipe, with brazed on black long meggas, from my 650SS, bought in 1971, now replaced with stock items. Be pleased to discuss a sale.
