Good afternoon all,bit of info as regards paint,i have a red 99 1960,i have obtained the fact that the tank is a post office red/dove grey.What about mudguards are these white or also grey?Many thanks

That I had were always dove grey mudguards. If you search Norton 99 two tone images on your browser you should get the pairing yours should be.
To confirm it the sales brochure for 1960 shows black and white images of two tones.and the text lists the pairing red/dove grey.
it can be found in our Library tab/ Brochure book, page 418

I have an orriginal set of panels ( stored in a loft for decades) which have both colours. the Dove grey is rather drab  so I used a lighter cream/grey on tank lower,frame,chaincase, mudguards,stays  and chainguard . No one has ever commented. The bike was despatched from the factory with a chrome chaincase but arrived at the customers with a grey one. Sneaky dealers !.
