The Riders Section: how it works

This Section was born out of the view that for many of us riding Norton motorcycles was our reason for joining the Club. So, now it exists: what are we going to do? The Section is fairly free and easy: if you want to join, contact Kev Feltoe (branches@nortonownersclub.org) and he'll add your name to the list.

As the whole point is to ride we thought it would be good if we can meet on some of our rides. As we are all busy people we'll try to make this as easy as possible. If you would like to organise a ride you'll need to:

1. Click the box calles 'Start a conversation' on the Riders Section page. You'll have found that bit already as you navigatedhere.

2. Pick a destination and time that you expect to arrive. Remember that others might make theri way to join you so be as accurate as you can. Write that on the page.

3. Pick a start point and time. Make sure that people know that you want them there at X o'clock with a full tank and an empty bladder. This is supposed to be fun so we want to keep the organisation as easy as possible and we should all keep this as convivial as possible. It might be politeto let the run organiser know that you intend to join the group but that doesn't mean that the start of the run will be delayed if you are late.

4. If you would like to go on the ride but you happen to be starting in a different part of the country you could either justmake you way to the destination or you could suggest another start point. If you're suggesting another starting point then add another post to let others know that they can join you.

5. Once you've made sure that all the information that people will need is there hit the 'Post Comment' button.

There are only two rules to this Section that you really need to be aware of: Have fun and Ride your Norton more! Let's see how we get on.
