1952 ES2 rear mudguard / stays query

Forums

The rear mudguard on my 1952 ES2 (plunger model) is very close to the tyre both at the top and the back end. I know it's not original as it's one piece rather than having the removeable tail section, and matters won't be helped by having a 4.00 section tyre fitted (not by me).

I think one reason is that there's no spacer on the front bottom mounting bolt (the one behind the gearbox) but also wanted to check the lifting handle / top stay dimensions.

Mine measures 7.25" between the centres of the vertical stay and 9.25" between the centres on the rear lifting loop. Measurements taken from the centres of the attachment holes.

Could anyone pop out and check their measurements for me?

Many thanks
