I bought this very sad 1946 16H with a 49 motor in terrible condition some time ago as am plucking up the courage to start the remedial process. I managed to purchase most of a 47 motor sand piston and conrod and some other important bits. Out here in the sticks these are rare so no real opportunity for getting any s/hand bits I need. Would anyone be kind enough to point me in a promising direction regarding parts I will require.

Russel Motors are the best…
Russel Motors are the best known specialists for WD16H although they don't have the stock they once did.
It looks like you need the tail end of the rear mudguard, but I'm fairly sure I recently saw the guards available from India on ebay - maybe you can keep the bit you have and only use the bolted-on tail.
You seem to have the hard-to-find girder forks. Missing cylinder head might need detective work (autojumbles or maybe advertise in Roadholder?)

Most of the bits you need will be available on ebay but at a price! Many parts are common with the WD models but not all.
Things like seats, footrests etc are available as repro items.
And of course there is the NOC spares scheme.
The hardest things to find are tinware such as mudguards but you have a start there.
