16h?

Forums

I tried to put this in yesterday with no luck. I am trying to restore a pre war bike. The engine block is 60886, cylinder e4481, and cannot find the frame number. Where is it located? On the back wheel there are adjusters. Will try to add a photo. Are they needed or can I just go straight to the frame? Saves me adding chain links.

The locknut is on the wrong side of the lug and the spindle is very close to the open ends...I don't think it's a good idea to ride it like that.

Frame number should be on the front left hand fuel tank lug.

For the sake of good order, this photo shows where the lock-nut should be located. I suspect that the chain is either very worn or should have been fitted with a half link due to sprocket sizes. D/S Rear

Thanks for the photo. That makes a difference.

Hi Beverely,

I notice in your picture, your bike is missing the brake lever return spring. If you look at Richard's photo you will see it around the lever boss and against the lever. You will definitely need this as the pedal will bounce when riding as it is quite heavy.
