A NOC member has been in contact to advise that he was phoned by a person claiming to be “the Editor of the Norton Owners Club”. He claimed that the Club was offering special advertising space to members “at reduced rates and was he interested?”. The long-time member was suspicious and asked the caller who else in the Club he knew at which point the caller abruptly terminated the call. The caller number was checked and found to be a bona-fide publishing company based in the south-east who, when contacted, stated that they would never do such a thing or condone such actions. Members are advised to treat any such calls with caution.
