The Officers of the Norton Owners Club have agreed to postpone the Annual General Meeting which was due to be held on 19th April 2020. This decision was taken in light of the likely spread of the Covid 19 virus, and the likelihood that some members who will wish to attend the meeting will be in the vulnerable category of those most likely to suffer more serious consequences in the event of contracting the virus.
The Club will continue to operate as normal and the Directors and Officers have agreed to carry on in their respective roles until the AGM can take place and elections be held.
The Annual accounts are currently being professionally audited and will be made available to all members by the time the AGM would have taken place. The accounts will be submitted to Companies House in the normal way as required.
As soon as the position regarding the spread of the Corona virus is clearer the date for the AGM will be set. At present we are tentatively looking at the 4th October 2020.
The Officers of the Club hope that members will understand and agree with the decision which has been made in the best interests of all concerned.
PS. It has been drawn to our attention that once notice of the AGM has been given it has to take place but can then be adjourned.
The AGM will therefore proceed on the 18th April but the Chairman will immediately recommend that it be adjourned until futher notice.
