Hello all, looking to rewire my 72 Commando anyone got sources for wiring cable etc.
Can anyone tell me the wire size ie dia.

+1 to that â they're not cheap, but you get what you pay for with them, and they have most if not all of what you want. I tend to buy wire by amperage suitability, with a rule of thumb that, within reason, a wire that's a bit thicker than you need is good. I know, really technical of me â?

I always used to use VWP but more recently Autosparks who are slightly cheaper and have just as good products.

I use 16.5 amp thinwall 1mm2 cable which is easily capable of running anything on my ES2 although you may want to go up a size for the charging system on your Commando. The only problem I find with the thinwall cable is that the insulation melts more easily than the conventional stuff when soldering.
