I have read negative reports in the past about the NOC spares and would like to share my experience.
On the 2nd June I ordered a Lucas 88SA light switch and received an acknowledgement quoting a waiting time of up to 2 or 3 weeks as the spares department is run by volunteers with full-time jobs. Well, the switch arrived here in Orkney (as far away from Dorset as you can get in the UK!) yesterday afternoon!

Yes, I've only used the service a couple of times since rejoining but found prices reasonable and delivery times fine.

I've also had good experiences with the NOC spares service.
Sure they take a little longer than the main suppliers but prices are good, quality is fine and the orders always arrive in the end. I take the delivery time into account and if spares are urgently required will buy elsewhere.
