Looking to buy a Roadster tank from the NOC shop for my '75 bike. Has any, who has bought one,got any feedback about the quality and do they fit correctly. How much, if any, fettling needs to be done. These are made in TaiwanI believe. I know the tanks made in India come 'supplied free'with many number of problems and in some cases not fit for purpose (they are getting better I am told).

I have purchased a similar tank to the one in the Norton shop- advertised as being made in Taiwan with new toolings. I'm mildly impressed with the dimensional accuracy (visual analysis only as I have nothing to compare with). However, the welded seams do need some dressing with the grinder (and possibly filler). The one I have is a raw product that needs work before painting, but should look pretty good once complete. Despite this, overall impressions are positive. Just accept that a fair few hours of work are required to finish.
