Re: Rocker arm pads and con rod big end bearings

Forums

I have a 1958 ES2 engine, and the rocker arm pads are in need of replacing, (see image) but I'm finding it difficult to track down any replacements.

The nearest I've found are these from RGM:

http://racingnorton.co.uk/SOHC-Rocker-Arm-Rocker-Pads

but they don't quite have the same shape and it mentions that they are for a SOHC engine, so I'm not sure they will fit.

Also, using Mike Pemberton's DVD to assist me in my engine strip down, I found that inside the big end of the con rod was a single race of 1/4 by 1/2 inch roller bearings, where everything else I've seen or read suggests there should be two races of 1/4 by 1/4 rollers. I intend of re using the rollers as they are in good condition, and I can't seem to find replacement 1/4 by 1/2 ones, but I just wondered if anyone knew if there was any difference/benefit between using one type over the other.

ThanksAled
