I have just had the barrel modified by M P ('O' ring mod) and decided to check the piston, glad I did, two cracks, one from the exhaust valve pocket through both ring grooves, and one near the gudgeon pin hole!
The bike ran great,....... glad I found it before Austria!..............its +30, and has probably been in for 30years, metal fatigue?

Iâve got a jubilee piston like that, I think it was a common problem at one time, is it a heptolite
