K2F mag

Forums

Hi all can anyone tell me dose the K2F mag work on a waisted spark principle as i'v set it up as it says in the manual and I get a good spark on bothe plugs but in damned if it will start I'm wondering if i'v got the leads crossed and dose it matter if I have? Thanks Simon

It sparks one at a time. So if leads are crossed it wont fire up.. It doesn't matter which way they go although there is a 'proper' way.David

If your sparks arrive on the wrong up-stroke, swap the plug leads over. You can't do that on a V-twin, but really, does it make any difference at all, on a parallel twin, which of the two sparks is firing either cylinder?

David is right, it does matter! Back in the 50's, I used to swop the leads over, if I was going to park for long periods, in the hope a casual thief, or joyrider, would be unable to start the bike.
