Does anyone have a set of instructions for fitting / setting up an isolastic head steady? I've searched the NOC forum and other sites but can't find anything. The headsteady I have used for many years is made from stainless steel (see pic) and I supsect it's rubbish due to flexing of the side plates. I picked it up years ago via Roadholder and whilst it did improve the handling (at the expense of increased vibration) it soon deteriorates through severe wear. I'm going to be ditching it soon in favour of a Dave Taylor head steady which looks to be a better engineering solution to me, but before I do I thought I'd try setting up correctly to make a comparison. Should I sit on the bike to shim it all up to the right position for instance? I never got any instructions with the thing.

Hi Jem
Maybe you should get in touch with the troops at Andover your existing head steady looks very much like a copy of, or one of the early factory racer head steadies they sell for £124 a pop
