I shall be setting the ignition timing on my 1957 Domi 99 soon and was wondering if anybodywould recommendusing a different setting to that given in the manual (32deg BTDC).

It depends on yourcompression ratio and the octane rating of the petrol you will be using. 32 should be OKunless you are running higher compression but in view of the lower octane ratings of currently available petrol, I would be inclined to use 30 degrees.
