could anyone tell me if the two 3/8th studs at the front of the head are cycle thread or BSF as mine have stripped in the head and i need to order a helicoil kit.

BSF normally works in alloy,…
BSF normally works in alloy, BSA used it as well but the Norton head just gets too hot and the alloy becomes brittle.

Was not a problem on Dommies…
Was not a problem on Dommies with whitworth threads, I suspect its more to do with the shockingly poor alloy casting quality that I found on heads from Plumstead . Had to file off casting flash and bead blast to close open pores and get a passable finish.

They will be a coarser thread in alloy. possibly whitworth or UNC. Check on RGMs site.
