Can I use LED bulbs to give a better light on a standard 6 volt Lucas system.
I would like to use them on all lights on it if possible.
Does anyone have any experience of this.

YES
Yes LED, Light Emissive Diodes, can be used on 6V. When ordering them you will have to specify the 6V and the Polarity of Earth. It is advisable to have a reasonable steady charge voltage on the battery. LED can get up set if the battery voltage is a variable.
1955 should be a dynamo charging system so a decent modern voltage dynamo controller is recommended. (I sell them)

I have a 1955 Norton 88 and have LEDs in all locations and they work very well. The ones I have fitted are supplied by Paul Goff. BTW This post should probably be in Heavyweight twins.
