Peter. I agree with Phil about the ali rods; they are a bit weak.
If, once you have selected the pushrods you will use from your many sets, I would be very happy to buy a set of standard pushrods, provided they are 8.21" inlets and 7.36" exhaust, if you would be interested in coming to a suitable arrangement? you can either reply on here, or send me a private message through the forum.
Many thanks. Ian

Hi Ian and Phil.
Taking what you have said into account I will use the standard push rods.
At the moment I will hold onto the remaining push rods as I believe I have enough spares to build two or even three more engines Once I have done this I will sell what ever parts I have left.
Thanks again for your help Peter

I had a bad experience with alloy rods on my 99. They can bell out at the ends! Stick to genuine parts.

Several points to mention when using the all alloy pushrods.
Firstly............ there are two different lengths available. Those for spigotted barrels and those for non-spigotted. There is only a 0.10" difference but this can be just enough to swallow up the all spare adjustment at the valve end.
Secondly.....If you get them wrongly positioned when lowering the cylinder head in place, the top cups break very easily.
Third.....they are generally twice the weight of standard rods due to being solid and not hollow.
Attachment shows list of models and relevant pushrods.
