Rear Vernier iso adjustment

Forums

Hi

'74. I've searched the site but couldn't find what I'm looking for. My rear vernier adjuster on the off side has one, maybe two holes, the nearside has about six. I believe that to adjust to .009, tighten the adjuster then back it off 1.5 holes , which is doable on the nr side but, as there's only one adjuster hole, do I estimate the same for the off side, please?

The side with one hole is not an adjuster. The hole is for a grub screw to lock it in place. It should be tight against the centre tube.

preferable to use left and right sides, as offside depends on which country the reader is in.

Don not make the very common mistake of tightening the adjusting collar - it should only be turned until there is no gap, it does not need to be done up any further than this.

and can check the gap after tightening main bolt and pushing cradle to opposite side first.
