Anyone come up with a better Rocker spindle location plate ? The standard one`s are not much more than a plate with two `tangs` punched through. I can see that the oil feed cannot be blocked and thats why Norton came up with the original design but I`m sure something more substantial could be designed ?

The RGM kit is a bit pricey but works to control the spindle movements. Several tightening sessions were needed and thread retainer for the cover nut for them to stay on.

After `jumping the gun ` and putting my post up I did come across RGM`s modified Locking kit . They look like the answer I was after . Thanks for the quick replies people . I`m always amazed at the little `Mods` that I discover that other NOC members advise on. Reading the Topic about Belt drives and Oil contamination lead me to another RGM invention of the Clutch nut with a pushrod seal !

Hi,
RGM can supply a thick stainless steel cover with a grub screw doing the job of the 'tangs' if you feel that you need to improve things.
See part 067579P for details.
