A little more information would be helpful.
What is the problem ? Broken? Just tired? Difficulty with gears?

Where in the world are you?

What model of Commando gearbox? If it is the Mk3 left hand gear shift box the sleeve gear will have two circlips fitted to retain the bushes. Earlier gearboxes will have no circlips or only one clip fitted to the clutch end of sleeve gear, this allows the bushes to migrate out of the sleeve gear and into the box to get chewed up by the gears or outwards towards the clutch to get chewed up by the clutch locating circlip. When you get your g/box rebuilt, make sure the sleeve gear has the two circlips fitted. The circlip grooves can be machined into the sleeve gear, saving you a substantial amount, they cost pence (two for 50p from AN)

Hi, it is a Combat gearbox (1972). I have bought a new outer casing from Norvil due to the case breaking and new bearings ETC to go inside. When I tighten up the bolts of the outer case the gears just lock up. I need help.

I take it you have the Mick Hemming's DVD Richard?  Sounds like something hasn't 'gone home' properly, kick start could be one of those things. Might be something simple - but I know the feeling when you just need some trusted help to sort something out!

I had a similar problem (locking up when the inner cover was tightened down). It turned out that I had not ensured that a new bush in the kickstart spindle was fully home.
