Looking for spark plug HT leads for a Classic. The manual states they should be 600 ohms . I cannot find anything close to that. Will 5K ohms caps work? AN does not have any in stock, and the ones they list do not have any specs.
will these work? https:/…

Carbon core HTLeads
How did you get on James? I believe Norton Motors used carbon core leads on the rotaries. These are high resistance, depending on length, and are excellent for suppressing RFI (radio frequency interference). 600 ohms would be a typical resistance in a lead.
These leads are also recommended for protection of electronic ignition systems, as they dampen any electrical resonance between plug and ECU.
The rotaries were designed for use with police radios and were all fitted with carbon core HT leads from new, for suppression purposes.
Up and running?

yep up and running, I used NGK 5K ohm caps and copper leads, seemed to like them, the NGK caps are hard to find.

IF
The 600 ohms refers to the cable NOT the caps, you have do not have resistance in both and certainly not in the plugs as well. Be careful of carbon leads, they supposedly have a short life, so the instance you have any ignition problem think of replacing them with more carbon or plain copper.
