Lowering footrests

Forums

Because I'm quite tall for a featherbed, I'd like to mount the footrests a bit lower. However, that would require lowering the brake pedal, and then there's too much space between the pedal and the brake switch. Has anyone solved this?

The brake rod can be dismantled so possible to make an extended nut with external and internal threads to join the two standard parts ?,

.....Dominator Rear Brake Light Switch - Is there a Cover/Boot? From Alan Smith in 2022.  There is a picture there of a solution.

Do you have the original type switch?  The geometry is a bit different on slimline and wideline frames.  But the switch is supported on a bent sheet steel bracket.  It should be possible to make a new one to mount the switch a little further forward.

The exhaust temperature has no value on its own, the best measurement would the exhaust gas analysis. Once this is know to be good then take a measurement of the exhaust temperature, but at anytime you change the exhaust pipe then repeat the above as the exhaust may heat up differently.
