Rear brake light switch fitting

Forums

Hi O Wise Ones

I have discovered that I am unable to fit my newly purchased rear brake light switch because the fitting that holds it is missing from the brake pedal. A complete new brake pedal is 130 plus quid from AN.

Question is can one get just the fitting? How is it attached to the pedal? Adhesive? Welding? Finally anyone got a spare brake pedal for sale?

Cheers Nick

If you are talking about part N° 061054 the bracket you are talking about is welded on.
I had to make another for my Commando as the original was too far distorted to be of any use after it being subjected to a number of prangs from previous owners.
eBay have a few on their site so I would go down that route and take your preference.

Is to use a brake cable with integral switch fitted. OK, no good if you are doing a 'factory resto', but for a bike for riding it'll work well and its a lot cheaper. Venhill (one of the most expensive cable people) sell one for just over £60, and I'm sure there are other cheaper ones about.
Regards,
George
