Rear Sprocket?

Forums

Hello all,

I have a '68 Atlas and I intend on replacing the rear sprocket. The current one has 42 teeth and the numbers M12 & 030019 inside. I have a 5/8 x 3/8 bolt up ('64 on part no. 030052) but it doesn't fit.

Does anyone know what the correct replacement part is or how I go about identifing what it should be.

Many thanks

Gregg

Hi

I thought the only difference is the stud thread used on the drum.

030052 uses sleeve nuts with a CEI (cycle thread) and 060319 uses sleeve nuts with UNF threads.

Andover Norton and others list both drums and sleeve nuts for either are also readily available from a number of sources.

Thanks Iain, it actually turned out to be one of these dâoh moments. After much head scratching, we realised that the problem was the powder coating on the lugs. Once removed, it fitted together like a treat.
