OK I give up... I've searched this and other resources but can't see anywhere how the Breather Hose to the oil separator clip (06-5569) is fixed/located.
The manuals indicate it is holding the breather tube (I assume through the larger hole - part 33 in extract below) but I don't see anywhere nearby where the small end could be secured... Can someone provide assistance or a photo of one in situ? Yes, I do want to retain the oil separator, thanks.

The clip on your photo appears to differ from clip item 33 in the parts diagram.
Perhaps a MK3 owner will be along shortly to help.
