I'm looking to replace my rear master cylinder with a Girling 06-5776.
Am I liable to have any problems setting it up, from what I have researched, they can be difficult?
Cheaper option

Piston Stroke
Is it simply a copy of the original ? The only real problem with those is that the stroke is adjustable and either due to careless assembly or an attempt to use the rod to adjust lever position, some owners have succeeded in blocking off the return port when fully returned and only realising when the fluid warms up and expands.
I've re-sealed originals when needed and never had a problem.

Girling master cylinder
Thanks for the replies, greatly appreciated.
Will the Girling master cylinder, as per my screenshot, work as a direct replacement. my original is definitely past it, and this looks like my best value for money replacement?
I had hoped to separate the alloy mount from the steel chamber and re-use the mount, but I have been soaking the assembly in WD40 for over a week and still siezed solid, so looking to replace the complete unit now.

Sized!
I couldn't get the master cylinder appart, siezed solid. So opted for a new stainless Girling master cylinder.
Hopefully, everything will go together nicely.
Thanks for the advice, greatly appreciated.
Just got the brakes to sort out, a few other small issues, and the bike will be finished!

I could just replace the master cylinder body, but concerned about getting the setup right, any advice greatly appreciated.
