Dear All,
I went to replace the carb connector hoses on a recently acquired Mk2A. After the usual struggle I found that the only way I could get them to fit was to reverse the carb adaptor sleeves so that the flange was closer to the airbox. I then measured the position of the airbox in the frame and found that it is approximately 5 mm further away from the engine than it is on my other Mk2A.
Looking at the airbox and the top mounting bracket it looks like the airbox is correctly located in the frame and can't move any further forward. Has anyone else come across this situation on their bikes?
Regards to all
Rick

You are quite right…
Thank you Graham. The top bracket is indeed bolted on to the wrong side of the frame bracket!

Rick not sure which is the correct position for the top bracket, but on my mk3 the top bracket is on the front side of the frame bracket with a thick spacer in between.
