This might help someone. I’ve been trying to stop a niggling oil leak from the primary case. The inner cover was bowed by about 0.040, couldn’t stop it with silicone gunge, so, assembled inner with bead of silicone in the o ring groove, then fitted o ring, use smear of grease on outer cover, clamp up with central nut, but using 2mm spacers in between the casings to maintain an even gap, let it set, remove spacers & refit as normal. I forgot to add, remove x/s silicone before using.
