I know there has been a lot of discussion on these units but they don't address my problem.
Lucas K2FR mag on my 1956 Dom 99.
When the advance unit is off the taper shaft, the bobweights move easily, the springs pull them back.
As the central bolt is tightened on the taper shaft, the weights become difficult to move and finally jam completely. This is with the cup shaped washer and the horseshoe washer in place.
Any idea what is wrong and how it can be fixed? How does it come apart?
