or beg a couple of inches of stainless steel reinforcement tie wire from a building site...it will be 1.2mm so make sure it will fit...

A long long time ago I bought a small spool of monel trolling wire.

I would suspect that it will be available at any store that sells sporting or commercial goods for fishing especially if it is around a salt water area.

Still have quite a bit left.

There is an American company that makes locking wire, called Morosso, and it is a large roll. If you look on the Real Steel web site, www.reasteel.co.uk you will find it.
