I was wondering if anybody might be able to help me trace the previous owners of my '62 Dominator 99. I bought it from a dealer in Sunderland a couple of years ago and although he could give me very limited information abouts it's history there did seem to have been a considerable amount of work done at some time. The original reg. number was 646 VTY. The dealer reregistered it with the number UYJ 862 prior to me buying it. I took it that the old plates were of some value to him but as I was going to re-register it with an Irish plate this was not a problem.
I did find the name of the last owner and wrote to him but never received a reply. I also tried the DVLA but they were unable to answer queries to anybody outside the UK citing "issues of confidentiality".
If anybody has come across the machine in the past I would be delighted to hear from you.
