Threaded hole on the left lower roadholder fork yolk

Can anyone tell me what the threaded hole on the lower left fork yolk is for please, thanks   David

There's normally a threaded hole in the right side lower yoke for the steering damper (on long road holders) but I've never seen one on the left side (apart from the fork tube clamping stud)

Hiyah David - there is a tapped 5/16 inch threaded hole on the bottom fork yoke on the right-hand side on short roadholders for the steering damper retainer.  I haven't seen one on the left side of the yoke. Please blow up the attached image to see the arrangement.  Cheers, Howard
