Anyone have thoughts about the correct speedo drive ratios for the dominators? My existing drive ratio is 19:10 - almost 2:1. Norvil have a ratio of 15:12 as a replacement part for my mercury. My speedo has the correct 1600 rotation number on the face. Is the 19:10 correct?

Dominic you need a 15:12 for a 650 Mercury as they Changed the Speedo ratio in 1966 from 2:1 too 15:12

thanks for the info. As far as I am aware the bike has not been tampered with at all. The 19:10 ratio is close to 2:1. Tyre is a 4.10x19. Will the 1.9 to 1 read less than a 2 to1?

You need a 2:1 drive for a 1600 (or 1550) head,assuming that you have a 3.50 or 4.10 rear tyre.The 15:12 is for a commando head(1000 tpm).
